About Charmed Onz Cavaliers
Charmed Onz Cavaliers is a small breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, American Cocker Spaniels and Cockalier puppies located in Arcadia, Ohio and Salisbury NC.
At Charmed Onz Cavaliers we aim with our breeding program to breed healthy, beautiful and loving Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies that will be loved and cherished by their new family as much as we love them.
We are pleased to have Charmed Onz Carolina in Salisbury, North Carolina as an important part of our extended family. Norma and CT Walker have been part of Charmed Onz for almost 10 years and follow the same breeding philosophy, health standards, and principles that we practice here in Ohio. Their dedication and love for the breed make them a valued and long-standing part of the Charmed Onz family.
Our Puppies
Here at Charmed Onz Cavaliers our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies are raised in our home along with their mommies and daddies, so they are very well socialized with other dogs by the time they go home.
They are used to everyday noises such as television, vacuum, phones ringing, people talking and doorbells ringing. The only sound they are not used to is traffic as we live in the countryside and our road is not a busy one at all.
Health & Registration
Charmed Onz Cavaliers puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and they are regularly and fully checked by their family veterinarians.

Potty Training
Potty training is usually very easy as long as you watch for signs, take your puppy outside regularly, and reward them with praise and healthy treats such as fruits and vegetables.
More About Us
Our first Cavalier here was Beauregard Ulysses 1st (Beaudy Beau for short).
Linda fell in love with him immediately and without too much time passing our girls, Piper Lee Alexander and Paige Lee Alexander were added and so our family of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels started here in the United States.
Next came Jessica to join our family in 2007. She was a beautiful Tri colored female Cavalier who made a welcome addition to our family.
The next to join was our beautiful Mollymouse (Lady Mia Mirrabooka). Molly is one of Paige’s babies and is affectionately known as the clown of our bunch.
If you want a good laugh Molly will provide it for you.
Izzobella (Izzie B) came back to live with our family as her mommy and daddy moved where they were unable to take her and asked if she could come back to live with us.

Added in 2020, Annabelle is a Blenheim and Willow is a Tri from our lines of Pru & Grayson.

Added in 2022, these two beautiful Cockers quickly became beloved members of our family.

Our Philosophy
Linda and Jacki have both had animals since they were young.
We have been asked many times why we do not show our Cavaliers.
The answer is simple: we prefer to spend our time loving and caring for our babies rather than spending time away traveling to dog shows.
We know the quality of our lines and we believe the love and attention we give to our Cavaliers and their puppies is more important than ribbons and titles.
Norma follows the same philosophy and principles as Charmed Onz.
History of Cavaliers
During the 16th century, the CKCS was popular among the nobility in England. These dogs were sometimes called the “Spaniel Gentle” or “Comforter”, as ladies taking a carriage ride would take a spaniel on their laps to keep them warm during the winter. Charles I kept a spaniel named Rogue while residing at Carisbrooke Castle; however, it is with Charles II that this breed is closely associated and it was said of him that “His Majesty was seldom seen without his little dogs. There is a myth that he even issued an edict that no Spaniels of this type could be denied entry to any public place including Parliament. He preferred playing with his Cavaliers rather than taking care of important matters.
During the reign of King William III and Queen Mary II, the long nosed style of spaniel went out of fashion. The Pug was the favored dog at the time in the Netherlands, and with William’s Dutch origin, they became popular in England too. At this time interbreeding may have occurred with the Pug, as the King Charles took on some Pug-like characteristics.
After the king’s death, the Duke of Marlborough took over the breed. During the early part of the 18th century, John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough kept red and white King Charles type spaniels for hunting. The duke recorded that they were able to keep up with a trotting horse. His estate was named Blenheim in honor of his victory at the Battle of Blenheim. Because of this influence, the red and white variety of the King Charles Spaniel and thus the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel became known as the Blenheim
This is just the beginning of their history in Europe but let’s jump ahead to their history here in America. They are seen in many early American paintings. But the first recorded Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in the United States was imported in 1946. Not long after a Cavalier club was formed and then after the breed became established here in America in 1995 The American Kennel Club (AKC) officially recognized Cavalier King Charles Spaniels as a breed.

History of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
The history of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is as rich as its personality.
- 15th–16th Century Origins: Small spaniels appear in paintings by European masters like Titian, Van Dyck, and Gainsborough, often shown sitting in the laps of aristocrats.
- Royal Companions: The breed became especially popular under King Charles I and King Charles II of England, who adored them. King Charles II was so fond of his spaniels that he allowed them in any public place—including the Houses of Parliament.
- Blenheim Lineage: The red-and-white Cavaliers, later named Blenheims, were bred at Blenheim Palace by the Dukes of Marlborough.
- Decline and Revival: By the 19th century, Cavaliers were nearly replaced by the flatter-faced King Charles Spaniels (English Toy Spaniels).
- Roswell Eldridge’s Legacy: In the 1920s, American Roswell Eldridge offered prizes at Crufts Dog Show for spaniels resembling the long-faced dogs in historic paintings. This sparked a revival, leading to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as we know it today.
- Recognition: The breed gained official recognition from the Kennel Club in 1945 and the American Kennel Club in 1996.
Today, Cavaliers are among the most beloved companion breeds worldwide.

- Reserve Your Puppy – The first family to contact us after receiving the litter announcement can reserve their chosen puppy and arrange the deposit.
This follows exactly what your client explained: no deposits before birth, photos are shared after the litter arrives, and reservations are made on a first-to-call basis.
We work with two trusted road transport companies that specialize in safely transporting puppies. Your puppy will receive a final veterinary examination before travel to ensure they are healthy and ready for the journey.
If you are unable to pick up your puppy, we will arrange transportation on your behalf or meet you at a nearby airport if needed. We do not ship puppies by air, as we believe road transportation provides a safer and less stressful experience for our babies.
Our purebred Cavalier King Charles and American Cocker Spaniel puppies come with AKC registration paperwork. Cockaliers are crossbreeds and are not AKC registered.
Each puppy goes home with a starter kit, vet records, vaccination history, deworming records, a blanket with the litter’s scent, and lifetime breeder support.
Our puppies are 100% healthy when they leave for their forever homes. Before going home, each puppy:
- Receives a complete veterinary health examination.
- Gets their first age-appropriate vaccinations.
- Is dewormed every two weeks from birth until they go home.
- Is carefully monitored to ensure they are healthy, happy, and ready to join their new family.
Rather than offering a traditional health guarantee, we focus on providing the highest level of care, health checks, and honesty to ensure every puppy gets the best possible start in life.
