Charmed Onz Cavaliers is a small breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, American Cocker Spaniels and Cockalier puppies located in Arcadia, Ohio.
Here at Charmed Onz Cavaliers we aim with our breeding program to breed healthy, beautiful and loving Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and American Cocker Spaniel puppies that will be loved and cherished by their new family as much as we love them. We are pleased to announce the commencement of Charmed Onz Carolina in Salisbury North Carolina. Norma and CT Walker who have started their program follows closely our practice of conformation and health and not for the sake of having babies. Norma and CT bring the babies up to Ohio and surrounding states.
Here at Charmed Onz Cavaliers our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies, American Cocker Spaniel puppies and Cockalier puppies are raised in our home along with their mommies and daddies so they are very well socialized with other dogs by the time they go home. They are used to everyday noises such as television, vacuum, phones ringing, people talking and door bells ringing the only sound they are not used to is traffic as we live in the countryside and our road is not a busy one at all.
Charmed Onz Cavaliers puppies (the Cavaliers and Cockers) are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC ) and they are regularly and fully checked by their family veterinarians of Dr. Katie Frederick Flag City Mobile Vet and Dr. Ashley Leopold (who comes to our home) in Ohio and Dr. Rebekah Julian co-owns Lazy Five Veterinary Hospital in North Carolina for the babies born there.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
Linda was introduced to the wonderful world of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels by Jacki who has been involved with Cavaliers for over 45 years. Our first Cavalier here was Beauregard Ulysses 1st (Beaudy Beau for short). Linda fell in love with him immediately and without too much time passing our girls, Piper Lee Alexander and Paige Lee Alexander were added and so our family of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels started here in the United States. Next came Jessica to join our family in 2007. She was a beautiful Tri colored female Cavalier who made a welcome addition to our family.
The next to join was our beautiful Mollymouse (Lady Mia Mirrabooka). Molly is one of Paige’s babies and is affectionately known as the clown of our bunch. If you want a good laugh Molly will provide it for you. Izzobella (Izzie B) came back to live with our family as her mommy and daddy moved where they were unable to take her and asked if she could come back to live with us as she didn’t want her to go anywhere else; she wanted her to have the love and affection that she knows she will get here. Izzie B was well accepted by our family but then again you wouldn’t expect anything else from Cavaliers.
The next member to join our family, Lady Prudence Eloise of Charmed Onz. She loves to play with all of our babies and loves to please She has grown into a miniature Mollymouse with her antics. Our baby boy Sheldon was the next to arrive to Charmed Onz Cavaliers – Lord Sheldon McKenneth of Charmed Onz. He lives up to his namesake and is a very comical little man and loved by everyone who meets him!
Lady Scarlett O’Hara (Tara) Pru and Beau’s baby girl -she is loved by all our other babies and her name suits a very cheeky little girl. The months of July & August were sad months as our beloved Phoebe (Cocker Spaniel) & Piper passed over the rainbow bridge and is now with our beloved Jessica and Socrates romping around having a good time with no pain.
Our next addition our beautiful Princess Penelope Grace to help Linda get over the pain of loosing her best friend. She is such a character which has helped Linda and this precious baby girl has over 100 Champions here in the US and one grand champion in her ancestry. After Penny a baby girl named Lady Beauregard Ulysses II ‘Bonnie’ another of Pru and Beau’s babies and little sister of Tara joined us. Bonnie is very special as she was from the last litter of Beaudy before we lost our precious boy.
Next to join was a very special baby girl; Lady Waltzing Matilda (Tilly). Tilly is extra special as she is a granddaughter of Beauregard & Jessica on one side and the other side granddaughter of Lord Spencer Montgomery and great granddaughter of Lord Cameron Lancelot all of our babies. We are so blessed to have little Miss Tilly; she was born on a day I will never forget the day I lost her grandmother; my beloved Jessica March 15th it was if she was meant to come home to be a Charmed Onz thanks to CT and Norma Walker of Charmed Onz Carolinas who has our beautiful Emma and Sherlock, Tilly’s parents.
2018 saw our mad girl arrived a beautiful black & tan Cocker Spaniel. She is so funny – Princess Olivia Grace (Livy)! She thinks because she is the latest baby she should be boss and all the toys are hers. lololol The year of 2019 we thought that it was time to add another boy; a Tri-male to our crew hence the addition of our Lord Grayson Alexander oh my he is absolutely adorable and one smart little cookie – he lives up to his breed of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. As his little personality grows we will keep this updated but as of today he is a perfect fit for our crew.
2020 we added another two girls to our family Annabelle January, and Willow. Annabelle is a Blenheim and from our lines of Pru and Sheldon and Willow is a Tri from our lines Pru & Grayson. Both girls are adorable and love each other.
2022 Saw the introduction of Princess Shelby Grace of Charmed Onz and Princess Madison Grace of Charmed Onz – two absolutely beautiful Cockers then four weeks later the addition of our Prince Ezekiel Marquee of Charmed Onz who is a black, white & tan with merle markings – absolutely stunning!
2022 also saw the addition of Angel (Lady EmmaRose Spencer of Charmed Onz). She is a funny little toad; she initially didnt want anything to do with humans now she is right beside you wanting to be just loved – a typical Cavalier 🙂
2023 Saw Shelby and Maddison have their first litters. Both had seven babies for their first litter and both were fantastic mommies. Linda’s grandson and his new wife Brie ended up with one from each litter; they are doing extremely well. We also added little Missy to our family; a beautiful liver white and golden color – so pretty one of Maddy’s babies.
Linda and Jacki have both had animals since we were young; Linda was raised on the back of a horse and always had a pet of some description. Jacki, always had dogs – from German Shepherds to Cocker Spaniels and finally Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We have been asked many times as to why we do not show our Cavaliers – I am answering it now so that families realize that it is not a fault in our lines but instead the love that we have for our Cavaliers that prevents us from doing shows. I do not know if you aware of how much time is involved in showing just one dog let alone a few; also the amount of traveling away from the rest of our babies to pursue recognition for something we already know and that is the wonderful markings and lines we already have here at Charmed Onz Cavaliers both in Ohio and North Carolina. Yes we know it gives recognition and prestige to a breeder but not every Cavalier produces off-springs that will be champions and the time required takes away the love we give to all of our babies and their babies when they are born.
When a litter is born here at Charmed Onz Cavaliers we start socialization of babies from day one by picking them up, playing with them, singing to them (thankfully initially they cannot hear) but getting them used to what life is going to be like when they get to their new families. Our Cavaliers & Cockers are our babies, they live inside our house with us as it should be, they are our babies consequently this is the reason we ask prospective families to fill in the application form so we can see that they are going to be loved as much if not more than we do (if it is possible). Furthermore, they are also going to be part of our extended family and we love to be able to hear how all our offspring are doing in their new homes.
